The Department of Sociology and Anthropology in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Texas at Arlington invites applications for a full-time, non-tenured Visiting Assistant Professor in Archaeology. Candidates are expected to teach both introductory and upper division undergraduate archaeology courses, including a spring course in archaeological theory. All areas of specialization will be considered, except Old World Classical Archaeology. An archaeological summer field school within North America is highly desirable and could be counted as one course.  In accordance with USCIS regulations, successful applicants must be legally able to accept work in the United States.
