Lecturer - Archaeology of Africa, the African Diaspora, and/or Indigenous Populations
The Department of Anthropology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position. This is a renewable, non-tenure track position, starting Fall 2024, with the opportunity of promotion to Senior Lecturer based on outstanding performance and service to the department.  The position entails teaching four courses a semester, including our introduction to archaeology, history of anthropological theory, and introductory and upper-level classes in the individual’s area of expertise. The topics of such classes might include the anthropology of race & racism, historical archaeology of Africa and the African diaspora, historical archaeology of Indigenous populations, ethnoarchaeology, bio-archaeology, and/or racial dispar
