Visiting Assistant Professor
WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY’s Department of Anthropology is seeking applications for a one-year, non-tenure-track position in Anthropological Archaeology at the Visiting Assistant Professor level beginning fall semester 2025. The successful candidate will likely hold a Ph.D. in Anthropology, but ABDs with stand-alone teaching experience will be considered. Applicants must be able to teach Introduction to Archaeology and may be assigned a course in North American Archaeology, Museum Studies, or their area of expertise. Total teaching load will be 3-3 for the 2025-2026 academic year. Evidence of teaching excellence and commitment to the training and professional development of undergraduates are required.
